Matteo Santoro

Matteo Santoro

Matteo is our creative and restless innovator. Prior to CAMELOT, Matteo had several research experiences in Itay and North America, including a postdoctoral fellow at IIT-MIT. His recent research focused on pattern analysis and machine learning, whereas his doctorate research focused on combining computer vision techniques and formal methods for assistive robotics. Matteo holds a Master degree in Physics and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Naples, Italy.

Curzio Basso

Curzio Basso

Before taking the shrewd decision of founding a company while the global economy was on the brink of an unprecedented financial crisis, Curzio was a research fellow at the CS Department of the University of Genoa, Italy, where he worked on the analysis of medical images and the extraction of imaging biomarkers, particularly in the context of pediatric rheumatology. Previously, he was at the University of Freiburg, Germany, and at the University of Basel, where he earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Although he will not easily admit it, he used to be a physicist.

Mario Esposito

Mario Esposito

Mario joined CAMELOT since the very beginning, bringing his enthusiasm and commitment as a true CAMELOT's knight. Mario has research experience in image analysis with a focus on registration problems and in robot and sensor systems in both real and simulated scenarios, achieved through research fellowships at the Italian Institute of Nuclear Physics and at the Institute of Biostructures and Bioimaging of the National Research Council (CNR). Mario holds a PhD in Computer Science and a Master Degree in Physics from the University of Naples, Italy. In the spare time he loves fishing playing videogames and trying out graphical engines or 3D programs for virtual environments. In the real world, out of CAMLEOT, he feels a bit like a nerd.

Sofia Mosci

Sofia Mosci

Sofia joined Camelot in 2012 bringing her experience both in machine learning and business development. She is a Fulbright Scholar and recipient of the "Research in Paris" fellowship. She worked at Target Discovery Inc. in market analysis. During her 6 years of academic experience she worked on Machine learning theory and algorithms. Sofia earned the Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship at the Santa Clara University, CA, and a Master Degree and Ph.D in Phisycs from the University of Genoa, Italy.

Francesco Cricchio

Francesco Cricchio

Francesco joined Camelot in 2013 bringing his expertise in computer modeling of complex problems. Francesco holds a Ph.d in Computational Physics applied to magnetic materials and superconductors from Uppsala University in Sweden. Before he worked as engineer in D'Appolonia in the context of Research European Projects and as a university researcher in Quantum Physics, where he developed a software for the prediction of material properties starting from the crystal structure. He is author of 7 scientific papers on American Physics Journals, one of which gained the cover of Physical Review Letters. Francesco specialities are numerical modelling, software development and project management in the context of R&D projects

Agostino Bozzo

Agostino Bozzo

Before working for CAMELOT, Agostino worked on computer graphics, geometric modeling at the Computer Science Department, of the University of Genoa, Italy, where he earned his Master degree in Computer Science.

Stefano Maugeri

Stefano Maugeri

Stefano is a software developer by day and a basketball-player by night. Stefano attended the University of Genoa, Italy, where he attained his Master degree in Computer Science, specializing in machine learning and computer vision, and also worked as webmaster and Network Administrator for the University Sport Center (CUS).

Gaspare Piemontese

Gaspare Piemontese

With a PhD in Contemporary Political History from LUISS and a degree in International Relations from University of Bologna-Forlì, Gaspare brought a wealth of humanities to CAMELOT's nerds team. In addition to being a valued humanist, Gaspare has a solid background in accounting and international sales experience achievede at the Italian Chamber of Commerce at Marseille, France.

Luciana Pelusi

Luciana Pelusi

With a strong academic and professional experience, Luciana is our firmware and network protocols expert. Before joining CAMELOT, Luciana worked for several large enterprises in the ICT sector, including Ericsson, and ElsagDatamat, where she gained experience in the field of embedded systems. She earned a Phd in Information Engineering from University of Pisa, during which she carried out collaborative research projects with CNR. Her research activities were mainly focused on network architectures, especially wireless ad hoc and sensor networks. Settled in Genova a few years ago, during spare time she loves exploring narrow streets of Genova's historical centre... and testing the power of google maps!
